Lottery courier service TheLotter has decided to leave New Jersey as it consolidates its presence in other states.

TheLotter’s long-term strategy will see the firm instead focusing on increasing its market presence in Arizona, where it launched earlier this year, Oregon, and New York.

Barry Golombek, TheLotter US General Manager., commented: “First and foremost, we want to thank our loyal customers for their continued support. This decision was not easy, but we believe it will enable us to reach more players across the country.

“By redirecting our efforts and resources, more customers will be able to order tickets for their favorite lotteries quickly and conveniently.”

For all registered players in New Jersey, TheLotter will allow withdrawing of funds until 17 February 2026, while orders will no longer be accepted from this 19 November onwards. In terms of the existing orders, multi-draw packages, or subscription-based draws, they will be cancelled and refunded, also on 19 November.

As part of its new growth strategy, TheLotter will also introduce a list of  platform upgrades, including a new user interface and streamlined purchases.

“We’re truly excited for the future. Alongside our broader expansion plans, we’ve been rolling out our brand-new website, and early feedback from players has been overwhelmingly positive,” Golombek concluded.

As a separate note, TheLotter’s operations were recently criticised by the media in New Zealand, out of all places, where media outlet The New Zealand Herald alleged that the company is profiting off a copy of Lotto NZ’s popular Powerball product.
