The parent company of Lottery.com, SEGG Media, has partnered with Soccerex Miami as part of a wider expansion of its profile in sports.

SEGG has signed a deal to become the sponsor of the Soccerex Miami 2025 event, taking place later this week between 12-13 November at the Miami Beach Convention Centre.

Soccerex is a series of business events centred around the sport of association football (known in many countries as soccer), with the organisation founded in London in 1995, having been based in the UK capital city ever since.

Soccerex Miami was first held in 2018, and has become a staple of the event company’s calendar. It may become even more significant moving forward due to the FIFA World Cup partly taking place in the US next year, alongside Mexico and Canada.

Matthew McGahan, Chairman, President and CEO of SEGG Media, added: “Our partnership with Soccerex Miami represents a key milestone in SEGG’s mission to bridge sports, entertainment and technology on a global scale. As Title Sponsor, we’re not just supporting football’s biggest conversations, we’re helping create them.”

SEGG Media was formerly known as Lottery.com, named after its flagship platform, the lottery media and courier app Lottery.com. The firm began entering the sports media and sports betting space in 2021 via the acquisition of Sports.com.

Earlier this year, it initiated a rebrand from Lottery.com to SEGG Media, reflecting the diversification of its portfolio outside of lottery couriers and into other areas, particularly sports.

While Lottery.com remains a core part of its platform, having been re-launched in Mexico earlier this year as part of a wider Latin America push, the firm seems to have placed Sports.com on the front of its strategy moving forward. Partnering with events like Soccerex may serve a valuable purpose in this regard.

The company will send a delegation to the event consisting of Matthew McGahan alongside Tim Scoffham, CEO of Sports.com Media, and Marc Bircham, Director of Sports.com and Head of Sports Acquisitions, the latter of whom has been confirmed as a speaker.

Majed Al‑Sarour, President of Sports.com, said: “Partnering with Soccerex Miami as Title Sponsor reflects Sports.com’s mission to unite the global football community through innovation, media and technology.

“Having worked with world‑class organisations such as Newcastle United and Al‑Nassr FC, I understand how pivotal these global gatherings are in shaping the sport’s future and Sports.com is proud to be at the forefront.”
