International Game Technology (IGT) is bringing its video lottery central system, IntelligenEVO, to Atlantic Lottery in a new eight-year deal.

The implementation is expected to speed up the launch of new products and give Atlantic Lottery access to player-focused features.

Atlantic Lottery is the first World Lottery Association (WLA) member to utilise IGT’s technology in the market. IntelligenEVO represents a significant technology upgrade for the video lottery space.

The solution is designed to accelerate time to market and support long-term operational goals, while offering a scalable central management system.

Michael MacKinnon, Atlantic Lottery VP, Product, commented: “By leveraging IGT’s IntelligenEVO technology, Atlantic Lottery will power its video lottery network with the industry’s best-in-class central system and position itself to maximise future contributions to good causes.”

“As an organisation that prioritises system security and exceptional player experiences, Atlantic Lottery believes that IGT’s IntelliegnEVO solution will help generate high player satisfaction and optimal network performance.”

The agreement signifies a key advancement in IGT’s efforts to broaden its system technology reach within the lottery space.

“As a long-time supplier to Atlantic Lottery, IGT looks forward to helping the Lottery achieve its growth and player engagement goals with our leading-edge IntelligenEVO video lottery central system,” added David Flinn, IGT SVP Canada, EMEA and LATAM, Gaming Sales.

“IGT’s IntelligenEVO is a scalable technology for the WLA market that is backed by decades of experience and operator feedback, and maximises the benefits of real-time data, cloud-based technologies and in-depth analytics.”

Key expansion contracts

IGT continues to pursue a very strong presence across Canada as a VLT supplier. Last year, its subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC revealed that it would install PeakDual 27 VLTs across Québec in a phased replacement rollout. Similarly, in 2023, IGT also partnered with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation to provide 720 CrystalDual 27 VLTs across the country.

Another significant move for IGT this year was winning the tender process to continue as the operator of the Italian lottery, having done so since 1993.

The first two installments of the process – €500m and €300m of the €2.2bn upfront license fee – are expected to be paid by the end of 2025, whilst the full amount is payable in three installments before April next year.
