A dual contract signing has been announced by International Game Technology (IGT), with the organisation confirming it has extended its partnership with the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation by two years and formalised a new six-year commitment with the Virginia Lottery

Regarding its Virginia deal, IGT is now set to provide scratcher tickets, strategic planning and services following a competitive procurement process, with the organisation’s IGT Global Solutions Corporation now set to become the primary vendor for instant ticket games for the first time in Virginia.

As a result of the deal, which runs until June 2026 and includes an optional four-year extension, IGT is now expected to print roughly 90% of the state’s tickets. Additionally it will deliver a range of instant ticket services to the Lottery including portfolio planning, marketing insights, analytics, graphics support, and the production and printing of instant tickets.

Jay Gendron, IGT chief operating officer of lottery, stated: “Since 2009, IGT’s printing business, unique same-store sales capabilities and provision of top-indexing games such as Crossword Tripler, Super Triple 7s, and IGT’s exclusive Super Ticket have contributed to the Virginia Lottery’s sales growth.

“As the Lottery’s primary instant ticket vendor, we will print most of its scratchers, allowing IGT to showcase more proprietary content, deliver unrivalled gaming experiences for players, and demonstrate our dedication to world-class customer service and quality.”

The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation deal, meanwhile, sees IGT extend its existing contract with the southern state lottery to June 2027.

The extension will see IGT’s PlayDigital team replace another vendor’s entire loyalty solution and deliver upgrades to the Lottery’s loyalty website and mobile app through the provision of a full range of new player convenience features.

The upgrade will involve the integration of several of IGT’s PlayLottery loyalty features such as account registration, second chance eligibility, and rewards club onto the Lottery’s website.

Upgrades to the Lottery’s mobile app will also include the same offerings as the website as well as a full range of player convenience features which will allow users to scan game tickets to see if they are winners and check jackpot amounts, learn how to play lottery games, find the nearest retailer, and view all Keno-To-Go drawings and instant ticket games.

In addition to this, the Lottery will also receive its choice of either GameTouch 20 or GameTouch 28 self-service vending machines.

Gendron concluded: “As digital lottery supplier to more than 30 lotteries around the world and first supplier to launch a mobile lottery app in the US, IGT has a deep understanding of how multi-channel player engagement and a sophisticated loyalty program can help lotteries achieve their goals and differentiate their offerings.

“IGT is pleased to continue applying our expertise in lottery content and platform technology to deliver outstanding experiences for Tennessee Education Lottery players.”
