Bally’s Intralot will provide lottery services to the Polla Chilena de Beneficencia, one of the two major state-owned lottery companies in Chile.

Alongside the Lotería de Concepción, the Polla Chilena de Beneficencia maintains a duopoly on the provision of lottery and similar games of chance in the country.

The lottery’s contract with the Greek-American firm covers 10 years, with a two-year extension option included. The deal covers lottery, sports betting, and digital technology solutions.

A general objective is the modernisation of the lottery’s capabilities across all three verticals of lotteries, betting and gaming, via Bally’s LotosX Lottery, LotosX Central Gaming, PlayerX Player Account Management, RetailerX Retailer Management, Orion Sports Betting platforms, systems and solutions.

Demián Arancibia Zeballos, General Manager of Polla Chilena de Beneficencia, said: “This agreement marks a significant milestone in Polla’s modernization process, enabling us to make a leap forward in technology, user experience, and operational efficiency.

“Through this partnership, we aim to consolidate a gaming offering that is secure, modern, and aligned with our customers’ evolving expectations, while at the same time safeguarding our social role.”

Lottery still on the agenda

The deal shows that Bally’s Intralot is still focused on penning deals with state-lottery corporations, following the lineage of its Intralot ancestor, amidst talks of a possible huge expansion into sports betting.

Bally’s Intralot came into being last year through the merger of Bally’s and Intralot.

Intralot acquired the former’s Bally’s International Interactive division, while Bally’s Corporation took out a large stake in the new entity. Robeson Reeves, Bally’s Chief Executive Officer, then took on the same role at Intralot.

At the time, the group stated that its primary intention was to pursue opportunities in the North American state lottery space.

However, this week it was subject to reports of talks to buy evoke, a LSE-listed gambling group which had been conducting a strategic review since hefty new UK gambling taxes were announced in November last year. These talks were subsequently confirmed by both parties.

Acquiring evoke would significantly enlarge the firm’s European B2C betting and gaming presence by taking over William Hill, Mr Green, and the 888 group of online betting, casino and poker brands. The firm clearly still has lottery opportunities on its agenda, however.

“Polla Chilena de Beneficencia is a valued long-standing partner and we are honored to renew and strengthen our collaboration,” Reeves remarked.

“This agreement reflects the trust placed in our technology, our people, and our long‑term commitment to supporting regulated lottery operators.

“Working closely with Polla Chilena, we aim to deliver a modern, secure, and scalable gaming ecosystem that enables sustainable growth, innovation, and responsible operation of gaming services, supporting the Lottery’s ongoing contribution to Chilean society.”
