Pollard Banknote has announced that its subsidiary, Next Generation Lotteries (NGL), has been awarded the World Lottery Association Security Control Standard Level 2 certification.

Audited by the WLA Security Audit, NGL is one of the first organisations to receive this certification, over a year in advance of the deadline imposed by the WLA.

The WLA SCS Level 2 is a certification representing the security and integrity of companies in the lottery space, assessing 21 controls for lottery technology suppliers, incorporating the use of cloud hosting for lottery gaming systems, as well as controls for privacy and application security.

NGL’s retail and digital channels were assessed during the audit in October 2021, with no nonconformities detected.

“Like the entire Pollard Banknote organisation, security is a top priority for NGL,” said Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Pollard Banknote.

“Achieving compliance with the new version of the WLA-SCS certification is one of many ways that NGL demonstrates its dedication to ensuring highly secure products and services for its clients.”

Furthermore, NGL is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified, reflecting its compliance with regulations pertaining to security, quality, reliability and customer service.
