FDJ Gaming Solutions, a subsidiary of the French National Lottery Las Francaise des Jeux, has announced it will provide retail distribution services to the Finnish monopoly Veikkaus.

Under the provisions of the agreement, FDJ will provide its digital development platform (DDP) and image analysis to the Finnish lottery so it can run its own terminal application in full independence on Carrus Gaming camera-based Elite-S terminals.

Last week it was announced that Carrus Gaming would provide Veikkaus with 4500 of its Elite Terminals, Carrus offers imaging technology that focuses on ‘high efficiency, reliability and user-friendliness for retailers’.

Timothée Carrus, CEO of Groupe Carrus said: “This contract is a new success for our gaming terminals (Elite range) and a major achievement for the strategic partnership between Carrus Gaming and FDJ Gaming Solutions.

“It is a new milestone in our joint success story as we cooperate for more than 20 years delivering over 330,000 lottery terminals worldwide.”

As part of the strategic partnership, Carrus Gaming is providing the hardware of the Elite-S terminals whilst FDJ is committed to providing the terminal management suite, allowing Veikkaus to operate, monitor and update its range of terminals.

Pascal Blyau, CEO of FDJ Gaming Solutions France added: “It is the first time we provide DDP, an open framework using web technologies which accelerates terminal application development, enables dematerialization approaches and seamless integration to gaming or non-gaming services.

“Veikkaus Oy developers build Electron-based sales applications, concentrate on business logic while DDP takes care of the terminal functions, image analysis and embeds native connections to the TMS. It is also the first time we deliver TMS as a service from the cloud.”
