Scientific Games has revealed that its Senior Vice President of Lottery Instant Products and Services, John Schulz, will be inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame in October.

The Hall of Fame is a recognition honouring those who ‘have made a significant contribution to the $310bn global lottery industry.’

Schulz, who becomes the 15th SG executive inductee, has directed Scientific Games’ global instant product business which is operational for over 100 lotteries.

In addition, in his 36-year lottery industry career, Schulz developed the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership Program, the instant game management program, generating ‘45% more in funding for the good causes’ that the lotteries support.

SG lauded Schulz’s contribution to its successes, stating his role is hands-on in several aspects of the business ‘including game design, programming and manufacturing.’

“We congratulate John on his selection to the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame, a well-deserved recognition for his commitment to our customers and the lottery industry’s growth through the instant product category,” said Pat McHugh, Lottery Group Chief Executive.

“John’s leadership through the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be invaluable to the entire industry. He strategically navigates teams to safely evolve processes and ensure the sustained supply of instant products to lotteries around the world.

“This has allowed our industry to not only remain resilient but to thrive and grow, with many lotteries recording record instant sales in fiscal year 2021.”
