The Croatian gaming corporation, Pin Projekt, has officially launched in the South African market having forged a deal earlier this year with 1609 Propriety Group to offer its games in the country.

Under the terms of the agreement, the entire portfolio of Pin Projekt games will be available to play in South Africa via 1609 Group’s flagship brand, LottoStar.

An agreement was announced in June and the past three months have been spent negotiating licensing agreements as well as fulfilling certification and integration requirements.

Pin Projekt claims the South African market has shown great potential for its games and the launch with LottoStar is part of its strategy to become a global player in the industry.

Ivan Grković, CCO of Pin Projekt stated: ‘’Working with clients exclusively oriented to a particular local market means we have to show the highest standard of support, both in licensing efforts as well as technical flexibility.

“Luckily, our advanced state of operations was able to support LottoStar to launch quickly and offer another great product to their brands.

“Seeing our brand with another market leader in RSA up and running makes us proud of our achievements in these challenging times.’’

A LottoStar spokesperson added: “We are thrilled to have added the Lotto Instant Win games to our offering and to our LottoStar players. We have formed a great partnership with Pin Projekt and we’re excited for what’s to come.”

Back in June when the announcement was agreed, a spokesperson on behalf of the 1609 Group said: “1609 Group are thrilled to have partnered with Pin Projekt. South Africa is certainly ready for the LiW games, and we are excited to further extend Pin Projekt’s exposure to the market. We believe that this collaboration will be a tremendous success.”
