Svenska Spel Tur, the lottery and games division of the state-owned Swedish gaming operator Svenska Spel, has appointed Christina Kilström as its new Head of Sales and Marketing.

Kilström took on her new role on February 1 after previously holding the position of Marketing and Communications Director for Stockholmsmässan (Stockholm Fair).

Anna Romboli, Business Area Manager for Svenska Spel Tur, said: “I am very happy to welcome Christina Kilström to the dream factory Svenska Spel Tur. Her experience in customer experience, digital development, sales and brands from Coca-Cola, eBay, Vattenfall and most recently Stockholmsmässan will be a great asset.

“It’s an exciting time where strong brands and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing world and new customer habits are more important than ever. I also look forward to Christina with her background in digital transformation to contribute with agile and inclusive leadership.”

Kilström will be responsible for a number of the Swedish operator’s games and lotteries including brands such as Triss, Lotto, Eurojackpot and Keno.

Kilström added: “Svenska Spel is a very exciting company and an inspiring and fun workplace. With a strong position in the gaming market where last year we had a record year regarding the number of million winnings to customers, our connection to sport, a solid gaming responsibility and strong brands such as Triss and Lotto, we realize both small and big dreams.

“I am really looking forward to working with my talented employees to lead and develop the future gaming experience in a sustainable way, not least now at a time when the outside world and customer movements are making demands on both our sales and marketing. It will be hugely exciting and fun.”

Last week, Svenska Spel published its full-year and Q4 trading results for 2020, citing continued good growth for two of its three business areas, with increased revenues for sports betting, number games and lotteries during Q4.
