Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (LOTBA), the gambling regulator from Argentina’s capital, has awarded its first authorisation to Vibra Gaming to distribute its content through online casino operations. According to LOTBA, the first active platforms in the city will be up and running by the first quarter of 2021.

The City of Buenos Aires approved last September new modifications in the current online gambling law, allowing licenced land-based operators to participate in the process to apply for an online licence.

Vibra Gaming’s authorisation is the first step towards the launch of this market, which is on its way towards becoming one of the biggest in Latin America.

Vibra Gaming CEO Ramiro Atucha said: “We are so proud of this achievement, not only for having obtained the certification but also for becoming the first content developer from Argentina to do so.”

“The approval process has been completely effective and successful thanks to the help of the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires,” he added.

Vibra Gaming’s RNG was approved by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), to assure that the content distribution platform is reliable.

“This certification is an essential step so that the games may be distributed by operators and within jurisdictions requiring this level of technical standards and compliance, as is the case with LOTBA,” explained the company.

Furthermore, the Manager of Modernization and Information Technologies of the Lottery of LOTBA, Sebastián Vivot, confirmed that content developers and platforms will get ready during the first part of the year, as the market is expected to be active by the first quarter.

“At the Lottery, we are very excited that Vibra Gaming and other market players will be able to grow and that the industry will continue operating and opening up a new setting for online gaming and betting,” Vivot commented.
