JPS announces lotto draw changes

The Costa Rican Social Protection Board (JPS) has announced that the National Lottery draws and July chances will undergo a date change, according to the latest regulations of the national government to deal with the pandemic.

The lottery draws that were to take place on Sundays will now take place on Monday 13, Tuesday 21 and Tuesday 28, according to information from CDC 89.1 radio.

In addition to this, the chance drawings will be held on Wednesdays 15 and 31, and on Fridays 10, 17 and 24. The changes have been made due to the new restrictions by COVID-19.

In late June, the JPS began selling its lottery and chance tickets online, with the aim of attracting more people during the health emergency period.

The institution is promoting the use of new technologies and payment methods to reduce the use of physical currencies and adapt to this new reality.

In order to access tickets, players must enter jpsenlinea.com or the official JPS site and select the option ‘buy online’. Then, they can choose the available numbers and the amount they want to purchase.

In addition, customers will have the option to pay by credit and debit card. In case your numbers are winners, they will be notified by email.
