Playtech builds on Mansion partnership with sportsbook deal

Lottery technology specialist Playtech has announced the signing of an agreement that will see it provide online gambling entity Mansion with a digital sportsbook product for its Casino.com flagship brand.

Under the terms of the deal Mansion will add Playtech’s sportsbook product to its gaming portfolio, as well as the latter’s innovative Virtual Sports offering, which features 3D animation for popular ball and racing sports.

Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, stated: “We are delighted to continue to support Mansion in their position as market leaders. This is a further step in the evolution of our strong long-term partnership, and we are excited to be part of their growth. Together, we can support them in delivering an even more personalised, responsible player experience, and look forward to seeing continued success across markets in the coming years.”

The agreement follows on from a five-year partnership extension signed in January and further strengthens the long-term relationship between both Playtech and Mansion.

In addition to this, a second phase of the launch is scheduled for later in the year that will see the sportsbook product extended to the MansionCasino brand.

Karel Manasco, Chief Executive Officer at Mansion, added: “We are very excited to grow our long-standing partnership with Playtech, their proven expertise enables us to offer the ultimate experience for our players. The addition of their digital sportsbook will provide our customers with a seamless, multi-gaming platform; the very best in online gaming, all under one roof.

The news follows on from the recent announcement that saw Playtech reveal it will be providing its casino product to the New Jersey market having been granted regulatory approval by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (“DGE”).

As a result, Playtech is set to launch in the Garden State under its transactional waiver with bet365 and Hard Rock Atlantic City, with the organisation also expecting to launch with additional operators there in the near future.

At the time Playtech CEO, Mor Weizer, commented: “This is a major milestone for Playtech. We are delighted to have met the stringent regulatory requirements of the DGE and to be launching in New Jersey with our long-standing strategic partner bet365.

“The US is a highly strategic market for Playtech and we see significant demand for the full breadth of our product offering. We are initially launching our online casino product in New Jersey and over time will increase our products on offer to include Sports, platform, and Live Casino and we will continue to expand into further states as they regulate. This is the first step for Playtech in the US and we are very excited about the long-term opportunity.”
