ONCE to start draws on June 15

The Spanish National Organization for the Blind (ONCE) has announced that it will restart lottery draws on June 15 with the organisation’s vendors set to return to their usual activities and distribute tickets on the streets.

The decision was made in accordance with the current regulations and the next phase of the quarantine in Spain. The organisation is following the security measures to safeguard the health of its vendors and clients, through information and new resources.

ONCE will implement the plan to reactivate its commercial and operational activities, in order to recover from the interruption caused by the pandemic in the country.

In their first day of activities, vendors will also be able to sell the “Cuponazo” and “Sueldazo” tickets, and their draws will take place on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Furthermore, on May 25 people will be able to buy “Super Once” and “Triplex” tickets at agencies and online.

The organisation guaranteed that it is finishing the details on its action plan at a logistics and production center, where the first coupons will be printed and then distributed.

“Based on these dates to restart operations, ONCE is already working on the design of a campaign to inform its vendors, provide sufficient hygiene and protection elements so we can recover in a safe way for us and our customers,” said ONCE.

Vendors will be required to wear gloves, masks and protective screens, and use all the equipment they have to prevent the spread of the virus.

In addition, ONCE is analyzing the locations where vendors will be able to sell tickets, such as public spaces, kiosks, public avenues and transport areas as they’re currently under tight security protocols.

Earlier this week, the Spanish lottery and betting regulator (SELAE) announced the restart of the Primitiva and Euromillions, while Bonoloto and Gordo de la Primitiva draws will resume next week.
