Hoosier reopens payment offices

Having temporarily suspended operations earlier in the year as a result of the global spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Hoosier Lottery has now announced that it is to reopen its prize payment offices.

Reopening in Indianapolis, Mishawaka and Evansville, the offices will be made available to players on an appointment-only basis and will be accessible solely to those who require an in-person prize redemption of $600 or more.

The appointment system and limit on those granted access to enter the offices has been set in place in order to abide by social distancing rules and order to halt any further potential spread of the Coronavirus.

Furthermore, the minimum limit of $600 put in place regarding redemption within the offices is due to the fact that the lottery has been able to guarantee redemptions up to $599 at any of its Hoosier Lottery retailers.

Players looking to schedule an appointment can do so by calling 1-800-955-6886. It must be noted however that due to social distancing guidelines during the current health crisis, all appointments must be scheduled in advance and same-day appointments may not be available.

Running alongside its phone call appointment system, the lottery is continuing to redeem prizes through the mail and as such, as well as due to limited availability of appointments, players are continuing to be encouraged to mail in any prize claims up to $99,999.

More information regarding how to mail in a prize claim can be found at hoosierlottery.com/claim.
